Where did you serve and what did you do?

I was in the Navy and served from 1968 to 1972 with two years as operation specialist (radar) and the rest was in the reserved. My ship was the USS Sample and was assigned mostly as escort for the carrier USS Oriskany.

How are you Still Serving?

I served a a Deputy Sheriff for the Missoula County Sheriff's Office. I am also on several boards, Missoula Exchange Club and Missoula Crimestoppers. I am also on a local American Legion Post.

Why do you do it?

I have always been involved in Civic groups including Boy Scouts but I am 74 and getting to the point where I need to cut back some.
