I served 36.5 years in the Arkansas Army National Guard. I retired as the senior Master Chaplain Assistant for the State of Arkansas

How are you Still Serving?

I am currently serving my 2nd year as the Arkansas Department, District 13 Senior-Vice Commander. I have served as the Post 1316’s Post Chaplain from 2005 to 2022. I am currently serving my 3rd year as Post Adjutant for Post 1316. I have volunteered and designed the Lobby display board for the Arkansas Department’s State and Mid-Winter Conference for the last two years. I work hard to promote the VFW Youth Activities through the VFW Patriot’s Pen and Voice of Democracy Essay contests. I am presently the first and only Gold Legacy Life Member in Post 1316.

Why do you do it?

I do it because I believe in what the VFW stands for and I understand the need for all veterans to work together to provide assistance to those in need, whether it’s for a veteran, or a veteran’s orphan, or their family members.
