Where did you serve and what did you do?

The service was in Enterprise, Mississippi. I was responsible for erecting a historical plaque for Central High School and on behalf of Enterprise Memorial Post 5786 VFW in supplying all materials and labor associated with the erecting. The plaque was erected in front of Enterprise Elementary and Middle Schools on Highway 513 where Central High School was located before desegregation began. The pole for the historical plaque for Central High School was erected on January 29, 2026 and the marker was placed on the pole on February 4, 2026.

How are you Still Serving?

I have taken a disabled veteran that lives in Meridian, Ms. to two appointments in January of this year to Demopolis, Alabama and in February two appointments, one to Jackson, Ms. and the other to Laurel, Ms.

Why do you do it?

I like serving my community and fellow veterans when I have the time and opportunity.
