Gregory: Chair of the Board Selectman, Town of West Gardiner (30+ years); Rotary International-Gardiner, ME Past President – fund raising for scholarships and assistance to those in need at the local, state and international levels (25+ years); West Gardiner Comprehensive Planning Committee; Historical Society; American Legion Post 181 Maine – Adjutant; American Legion Department of Maine Finance Officer – 4 years; VFW Post #9 Quartermaster and Adjutant (10 years). Debra: Rotary International Gardiner, Maine past President and current secretary – fund raising for local, state, and international needs (25+ years); West Gardiner Comprehensive Plan Committee Secretary; Credit Union Board of Directors Vice Chair; Grant Writer – West Gardiner Fire Department – raising over $350,000 in funds for a new fire truck and other 1st responder needs; West Gardiner Fire Department Auxiliary – fund raising for fire fighter training and equipment; West Gardiner Historical Society President: raising funds through grant writing for museum needs; West Gardiner Garden Club: raising funds for student scholarships; American Legion Maine Post #181 Finance Officer (7 years); American Legion Department of Maine State Commander (2021-2022); VFW Maine Post #9 Senior Vice (4 years) and Teacher of the Year/VOD/PP Chairperson (10+ years); Emergency Management Director-Town of West Gardiner (8 years) – all volunteer positions.
Why do you do it?
To help those in need at the local, state, and international levels. To assist the local schools with scholarships and to help the children and adults who need food and shelter. To recognize the students, teachers, and community members for their outstanding contributions to our communities. To help our 1st responders with training and equipment.
