Where did you serve and what did you do?

USAF 1969-1994. Thailand during Vietnam War, Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm. Niagara Falls AFB, NY; Keesler AFB, MS; Richmond RBS, KY; Lowry AFB, CO; McClellan AFB, CA; Patrick AFB, FL; Lindsey AS, W. Ger; Wheeler AFB, HI; and Robins AFB, GA. TDY to many nations in Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and S. America.

How are you Still Serving?

I am active in five veterans’ groups, primarily the VFW, where I am a past District Commander, Past All-State Post QM, Past Post Jr Vice Commander, Present Post Sr Vice Commander, and Assistant Chaplain. Member of about 20 veterans organizations. On June 22, 2024, VFW Post 5290 hosted three Gold Star families as our Day of Service. We provided a luncheon plus donations from local businesses totaling over $900.00. We gathered for about 2.5 hours and thoroughly enjoyed laughter and fellowship. By all accounts, everyone, including guests and VFW members, thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Why do you do it?

I love people, specifically veterans. All I can do to help my fellow veterans is in my range of interest
