Where did you serve and what did you do?

Desert Storm, Riyadh Saudi Arabia. Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Area Commander, also as First Sergeant. Maintained morale of over 3000 enlisted troops serving in the USAF, USN, and USA. Deployed as R&R Commander taking troops to Dhahran AB, and then on to Manama, Bahrain. Conducted several disciplinary actions against airmen who violated US General Order #1. Created a First Sergeants Association, conducted regular meetings of all USA and USAF First Sergeants in theater. Created an Air Force Sergeants Association Chapter. Worked with the local District of the Boy Scouts of America, and served as a Commissioner to the local Troop. Attended an International Jamboree hosted in Saudi Arabia, attended by Scouts from England, Saudi Arabia, and USA. Moved forgotten goods from storage in Saudi Arabia to forward units in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

How are you Still Serving?

Active in five different veterans groups: VFW, American Legion, DAV, AmVets, and Georgia Vietnam Veterans Alliance Chapter 5. Hold office as Assistant Chaplain in all five, and serve as Senior Vice Commander of VFW Post 5290; Junior Vice Commander in American Legion Post 77; 3rd Junior Vice Commander in DAV Post 55; and Assistant Provost Marshall in AmVets Post 44.

Why do you do it?

I love the way each organization helps the local communities and veterans, I also love the relationships and camaraderie with fellow veterans.
