Where did you serve and what did you do?

Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Desert Calm. Platoon Sergeant with the 875th Replacement Company, United States Army Reserve. We brought in 40,000 replacements into Saudi Arabia, taking care of them, getting them assigned and shipped to the corps that requested their MOS. We helped ship 180,000 troops back to the states, Europe, Panama and Hawaii and made the replacement operations building we called the Royal Arabian Hotel at Khobar Towers for those who came and replaced my unit.

Tell us how you’re giving back to your community.

Doing military honors for veterans, the children programs of the VFW and American Legion. Being a VFW Post 1856 3 year trustee. I am a 28 year ambulance driver for my local Volunteer Rescue Service out of my home town.

Why do you do it?

I’m retired and have the time to do it and I enjoy helping others
