Where did you serve and what did you do?

I served in Afghanistan in 2010, dealing with communications.

Tell us how your dog is helping you continue Still Serving in your community.

With Sunny by my side, I am able to get out into the community more. This allows me to attend more events that support veterans, our local community, and to spread the mission of the VFW. I have been able to attend more community outreach, to talk to more veterans and get them involved in the VFW and to help them find that comradery that we all miss when we leave the military.

Why do you do it?

So many people have helped me with my PTSD and my struggles that I feel it’s my way to give back. It truly is an honor for me to be able to help others and Sunny has given me the ability to do that again.
