Where did you serve and what did you do?

Anderson AFB, Guam, 77-78, Hill AFB, Utah (Munitions Maintenance)78-81. USAF Reserves, Yougstown, Ohio (Aerial Port) 81-85. Back on active duty, Dover AFB, Del.,85-89, Rhein Main AB, Germany (deployed to first Gulf War) 89-93, Travis AFB, Cal., (Aircraft Fuel System Repair), 93-96 Altus AFB, Ok. (Logistics Plans) 96-01. I retire at Altus AFB. 1 Feb, 2001.

How are you Still Serving?

I am a member of VFW 9520 Honor Guard, we go out every 6 weeks to the National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio to do military honors for deceased veterans. I was also my post Surgeon, Quatermaster, and now a Trustee.

Why do you do it?

It gives me great satisfaction helping other veterans and people in my community. There is one event at our post that happens every year on the first Saturday in August that I get the greatest satisfaction out of, it is The Ride for Life event. It is a poker run that this couple put on every year, because their son died by Suicide, all the proceeds go to Front Line Services for Suicide Prevention.
