Where did you serve and what did you do?

I served in the USAF in the United Kingdom at RAF Mildenhall and at Loring AFB, Maine as an avionics technician.

Tell us how your dog is helping you continue Still Serving in your community.

My canine companion helped take my mind off traumatic events, negative thoughts, and soothes my anxiety. He helped get me off the couch during times of severe depression.

Why do you do it?

Right now, I’m not doing as well because my canine companion has passed away. I’m now searching for a service dog because I know how beneficial a dog is through experience. I’d like to be able to have that experience everywhere, not just at home.
