Michael

CABOT, Arkansas

Where did you serve and what did you do?

I served in OIF II with the 39th IBCT attached to the 1st CAV as a squad leader in vehicle maintenance for the 39th Support Battalion in Taji, Iraq.

How are you Still Serving?

I work closely with the VFW Post 7769 Beebe, Arkansas to build up the community in Lonoke and White counties. I enjoy helping people repair their vehicles that can not afford dealerships. I keep a close eye and check on my elderly neighbors, helping them if they need it. I am of course always here for Veterans and their families with information of Veteran Administration disability claims, health and education benefits along with any franchises that give discounts to Veterans that they might not be aware of.

Why do you do it?

I am very proud of the United States and the freedom it stands for, and I am glad I got to serve and do my part for the people of this great nation as my grandfather in WWII and Korean War and my father in Vietnam did, we all love peace and freedom, but my family and I will fight like hell to keep it.
