Where did you serve and what did you do?
Afghanistan 04 – 63B Mechanic (not needed in country so I was QRF and led work parties of locals on and off Bagram)
Tell us how your dog is helping you continue #StillServing in your community.
We are graduating service dog training in the Operation Delta Dog program October 2nd. He helps with my anxiety, nightmares, picking things up and more. Together we are Post Commander (3rd term) and District 6 NH Commander (1st term). We’re active in helping Scouting, US Naval Sea Cadets and assisting our community every way we’re able.
Why do you do it?
All the negativity in the country and societal problems can be solved if more stand up for what’s right, and do the hard work to make communities better. If we just sit and wait for someone to fix things it’ll never happen. We have to stand up for those who can’t and advocate and assist in positive ways. Working with local area veteran service nonprofits only strengthens our mutual goal of assisting the veterans, widows and orphans in our area.
