Where did you serve and what did you do?

Vietnam 1966-1968. rifllemanand then promoted to squad leader. stateside i trained new lieutenants on war operation at OCS.

How are you Still Serving?

I run the coffee/snack at GI Joes living museum. i also curate and give tours at the museum. i am an active member in the American Legion, VFW, VVA honor guard and the SALUTE organization. i also ready all the flags that are placed on veterans graves for memorial and veterans days. that includes cleaning, sorting, bundling, marking, and sharpening the flag sticks. doing this helps volunteers that help placing flags, last year we put out 2200 flags for our local community. i also volunteer with the hospice community care team, i go to veterans that are normally home bound, just helping them and talking to them to giver them comfort. i also help build and design our yearly float that i drive through our parades. i organize fundraisers for the museum.

Why do you do it?

i do this because i want to give back to my community and all of our vets. i love to honor vets. i also like getting veterans and our community to come together.
