How are you Still Serving?
1) Unity Hospice Veteran to Veteran volunteer visiting terminally ill Veterans in their homes and nursing facilities 2) Unity Hospice pinning ceremonies where I travel to Nursing Homes, assisted living and to the Veterans home honoring them for their service with a certificate and a pin. 3) Volunteer weekly at a Veteran owned organic Poultry farm Kellners Back Acres in rural Denmark picking, cleaning packaging Duck and Chicken eggs as well as butchering the birds for sale to customers. 4) Learn to hunt for turkey hunting as a Mentor for the Triple J game farm. 5) Learn to Fish program mentoring children/adults that have never fished is partnered with the wounded warriors project. 6) Work monthly as a volunteer and coordinator with the Ruby’s pantry at the Redeemer Lutheran church in Green bay distributing food to an average of 275 families on a monthly basis. 7) Working with the Veterans Housing and Recovery Program (Bellevue) facility with building above ground planters, bringing them food from the pantry and always on call from the director Katrina Courrier for anything she needs. 8) Work as a pollster at my local town hall on any election, signing up voters and working the polls. 9) Helping Denmark area veterans with cutting/splitting firewood for disabled veterans. 10) Installing handicap ramps for 2 disabled veterans in the past 12 months 11) Help the Denmark cub scouts pack 4052 with their rain gutter regatta, pinewood regatta and apple cider making seminar in fall. 12) Please download any of these videos that myself (sarge) and members in my post do on a weekly basis. 13) bringing Veterans Bear hunting for the first time a yearly experience. 14) Visit elderly patients in local nursing homes as part of our Pup Tent 23 doctrine. 15) Making Shadow boxes with the Denmark HS wood tech students yearly project. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/lobjxhoz9oqfjncscqhnt/h?rlkey=gul6zejznl62vbkbry8fqnmgr&dl=0 This will give you videos with what I do with Veterans at Unity Hospice as a Veteran volunteer and the program that myself and QM started.
Why do you do it?
I feel its my responsibility as an American Veteran to help make my community a better place to live and as a tribute to my brothers and sisters that never came back. To Honor their sacrifice, to let their families know that they are not forgotten and that their sacrifice helped make this country a better place to live.
