“Recon” , the name HE chose, is my newest dog. He is a Belgian Sheepdog at about 70 lbs. A blessing to me and to everyone who meets him. A natural at his job. And his ability to “sense” a change in me is remarkable. He doesn’t like me going anywhere without him by my side. All that meet him, fall in love with him and I’m asked by veterans if they can pet him. You see the change in them when I allow it.

Why do you do it?

“Recon” is my PTSD dog and knows when something is bothering me. And he automatically places himself between me and what he perceives is the reason. Interesting at the VA as he puts himself between me and whatever doctor I’m seeing there.
