Where did you serve and what did you do?

I was in Norfolk/Virginia Beach for 20 years. First 3 years were as a sub hunter in SH-2F Sea Sprites and the last 17 were as an IS.

Tell us how you’re giving back to your community.

My wife and I volunteer, and ride, with Guardians of the Children, a 501(C)3 motorcycle riding group helping kids and teens who have been abused.

Why do you do it?

Our adopted daughter was sexually abused at a VERY young age by one of her biological family members and the Guardians went with us to court to support her as she faced him. He’s now serving 2 consecutive 35 year sentences. I want to help other kids find the courage to face their abusers in court.
