Where did you serve and what did you do?

Stationed in Viet Nam, Thailand, Greece, England, Lackland AFB, Scott AFB and 3 other state side bases. Duties while in was Security Police, Technical Training Instructor at Security Police Academy, Social Actions, Equal Opportunity/Human Relations .

How are you Still Serving?

Still serving veterans with the VFW. Held positions as Post Commander, Quartermaster, Adjutant, District Commander, IL State VFW Scouting Chair. Also active with Scouts BSA as Commissioner. Also, while in scouting I was scoutmaster, Cub Scout Den Leader. I also, serve on the Veterans Assistance Commission in my county.

Why do you do it?

I need to keep in contact with the veterans and promote our programs. If we aren’t the voice of our veterans then we will loose many of our benefits. Now days we need to promote the VFW and other veterans organizations. With scouting we need to mentor our youth to become the future leader and build their confidence.
