Where did you serve and what did you do?

Afghanistan 2003-2004, 2009-2010 I served as an electronics maintenance Warrant Officer maintaining communications, radar, guidance, night and thermal vision. We supported teams on post as well as embedding with infantry and SF units in the field.

Tell us how your dog is helping you continue Still Serving in your community.

Since my time in the Army, I have had issues with open spaces like malls or crowded events where there are lots of people. My dog has allowed me to go back out in public and not only participate in veteran’s events, but actually help out as well.

Why do you do it?

Because, I’m not alone. There are countless veterans who are lost because of the lack of support for them. They are isolated and unable to reach out for the help they need. Being part of a like-minded community helps Soldiers, help each other. The dogs are an integral part of that.
