Where did you serve and what did you do?

Served USAF 1992-1997 Minot AFB and Howard AFB, Panama– Missile Communications and Counter Drug operations Comm -transitioned to Air National Guard and Command and Control – retired with just under 28 years service.

How are you Still Serving?

I serve as Veteran Suicide Prevention Team Lead with Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pa. Our team identifies veterans at risk of suicide and helps build up protective factors around them in the community. I also work with another nonprofit Veteran Service organization called Shootout for Soldiers where we use the sport of lacrosse to raise crucial funds for veteran services.

Why do you do it?

Transitioning out of military service can be difficult and many veterans do not have the supports and structure in place to navigate these changes and loss of connection. Having done it myself, it only made sense to assist others with navigating the process and connecting them with resources that might be needed.
