Where did you serve and what did you do?

I qualified for the VFW due to my US Army service in Vietnam. I had two (2) tours in Vietnam (1967-68 & 69-70) with the 101st Airborne Division. I rose to the rank of Platoon Sergeant (E-6) of an infantry platoon and saw combat and earned the Combat Infantry Badge (CIB) and two (2) Bronze Stars w/oak leaf clusters. I served in the US Army until June 1978. I retired as a Sergeant First Class (E-7).

How are you Still Serving?

I was the VFW Post 664 Senior Vice Commander and served as Post 664 Commander for 5 years (2017-2022) and currently serve as the mission commander of our funeral military honor guards.

Why do you do it?

I love serving my country and local communities. I believe in patriotism and devotion to the USA. I enjoy helping Veterans and their families every day in our local areas.
