Where did you serve and what did you do?

I served in the US NAVY from 1995-2004 on board the USS Kitty Hawk and the USS Duluth and shore duty at sublease Groton CT while on sea commands 3 deployments to the Persian gulf

Tell us how your dog is helping you continue Still Serving in your community.

Sadie my service dog travels almost everywhere with me and is a kind gentle soul who helps me and fellow comrades by sensing their needs for when anxiety and PTSD issues arrises.

Why do you do it?

I have felt a need to serve in the vfw since I was a child with my grandfather who brought me to post at a young age and listen to the WW2 vets and others tell their stories as soon as I returned from my first deployment in 1997 I joined the vfw. I have been doing it ever since and feel that its good to keep our organization moving forward to support each other and always fight for our rights
