Where did you serve and what did you do?

Bangna district of Bangkok VFW Post 9951 has been supporting the Place of Grace food bank since the covid crisis started in 2020. Place of Grace cares for about 60 children after school to keep them safe in a poverty area of Bangkok. Place of Grace provides free English lessons for the kids, a place to play, and most importantly some food and milk after school since some kids come from families so poor they get one meal a day. They give the kids a feeling of self-worth and empower them to have dreams and the confidence to achieve those dreams.The food bank not only provides food for the people struggling to raise a family but also the elderly, who if lucky, may get a $100-$200 per month pension to pay for rent and food. ps There is a considerably large veteran community outside the USA. Be nice to have your fill-in spaces accommodate overseas veterans. There is no Bangkok Arkansas.
